What is CJ SAYS? It’s a brand-new podcast that does exactly what it says on the sleeve: an official podcast about the world-famous RAMONES! Hosted by thee CJ Ramone, band member and bass player for The Ramones. CJ Ramone played alongside Joey and Johnny from 1989 until the band’s retirement in 1996.
Joining CJ Ramone as co-host of CJ SAYS is long-time podcaster, producer, and former KERRANG! RADIO presenter, MATT STOCKS.
With CJ Ramone at the helm, the CJ SAYS podcast is set to take listeners on a sonic journey through the history and back catalogue of the world’s most iconic American punk band. Expect behind-the-scenes insights from the person who was actually there both on and off stage. CJ Ramone was not only a witness to but a seminal part of the group’s final and most prolific years.

Christopher Joseph Ward, AKA CJ Ramone, literally crash landed in thee seminal punk rock band of all time, the legendary one of a kind, never to be repeated Ramones! How does a young guy serving in the US Marine Corps end up becoming a member of the Ramones? It’s the ultimate dream for any punk rock kid, right? A dream that only CJ Ramone can actually recall as his real-life story! From a buzz cut to a Ramones-esque head of hair in a matter of weeks. CJ Ramone would go on to tour and record with the band from 1989 to 1996, after an audition blew the band away. Throw in the seal of approval from DeeDee Ramone, and the rest, as they say, is history.
