TOUR DIARY BY YUKI KUROYANAGI, 2010-02-24
CJ RAMONE'S BASS WAS STOLEN! NEED YOUR HELP!

© Yuki Kuroyanagi
CJ's original custom Mosrite bass (a unique item) was stolen by someone after the show at club High in Konjie, Tokyo, during load out.

We are looking for his Bass in Japan. Police say the instrument will probably be sold to another country by the bad guys.

Please keep watching instrument shops in many countries!

In Japan, the newspaper mentioned this: bad guy can't sell BASS.

Color: white, circle strummerville-sticker on white-body, CJ Ramone name sign on Head.

Serial-Number is "000CJ"

Mr. Yusa, CJ and Yuki
We have a Mosrite company in Tokyo. We were lucky enough to receive a new bass Friday morning from Mr. Yusa from Fillmore Guitars ( Mosrite) in Japan. The show was really great! Thanks for your help.

TOUR DIARY BY CJ RAMONE, 2009-08-18
Hey Kids,

Thanks fer checkin' out my little piece of the ether net. I know it's been awhile since ya heard from me, but I'm back and better than ever! (Har,har, har!) Me and my good buddy Mick “the Cretin” are gonna do our darndest to keep ya'll up to date on what's happenin' in Cj world.

Not sure if anyone's keepin' track, but this year is 35 years since the Ramones first got together, and 20 years since I got to play with them. BIG YEAR! So I figured the best way to celebrate would be to git out on the road and play some Ramones music.

Backstage Swansea, Wales
Choosin' a gitar player and a drummer was a breeze. Daniel Rey, a guy with a longer history than I got wit the Ramones , produced as well as co-wrote with Joey and DeeDee, and played on many of the records. No brainer! A drummer was just as easy. A guy I tried to get together with years back when Los Gusanos was still around! After hearing him play with Kyuss and then Fu Manchu, I had to get Brant Bjork to play on something with me! Fast forward to the Johnny Ramone Memorial @ Hollywood Forever 2008. I ran into Brant during the festivities and we traded phone #'s. I called him a few weeks later and asked him if he'd be interested in doing a Ramones tribute tour. Of course I already knew he would, he's as big a Ramones fan as I am!

Germany, Ubersee/Chiemsee Festival
So I had a solid band, a tour of South America lined up, as well as a tour of Europe. All I needed to do was pick some songs. I decided to do the all time favorites from the Ramones set, but I'd add some songs I always wanted to do live that never made it into the shows. Endless Vacation, Swallow my Pride, and I'm against It to name a few. If I played all my faves, it'd be a 3 hour set! Maybe 4!!!

A few weeks before the South American dates were startin', Brant flew in and we started rehearsals with Daniel takin' the train out to my place where I'd set up a little space in my basement for us play in. We hammered out a killer set, and took off for South America. (You can check out most of those shows on youtube). It was a real hoot, but flyin' everyday just about wrecked us! All in all, it was an awesome tour and the fans were unbelievably appreciative.

Going over our setlist
We flew stateside to knock off a few shows in SoCal.. First one was my old stomping grounds in San Diego. We drove right through Camp Pendelton, where I went to infantry training school during my short career in the USMC. We did a weeks worth of shows, and took the next couple off to get ready for the European dates.

Which brings me to where we are now, Glasgow, Scotland! We're enjoying our first day off since this tour started (check out the tour dates!). We did a couple festivals and now we're out on our own. We'll post some pics, and don't forget to keep an eye on youtube for some footage.

See ya'll on the Big Road!
